Object:Electric master clock of the half-minute impulse type in mahogany case, c.1931

Before quartz clocks, Synchronome equipment provided accurate time within workplaces. 'Slave' clocks were advanced by electrical impulses from a master such as this. Made by the Synchronome Co. Ltd., according to a patent granted to W. H. Shortt in 1915.
