Medical research, which linked tobacco smoking with a lengthening list of health hazards including lung cancer and heart disease, led to active measures to reduce cigarette use. Manufacturers responded to anti-smoking measures by offering reduced-tar cigarettes such as these 'Super Low' tar cigarettes made by Benson and Hedges, Old Bond Street, London.
