Sixteen-page colour magazine about the Beatles on tour. George Harrison (1943-2001) formed the Beatles in 1960 with Paul McCartney (1941), John Lennon (1940-1980) and Ringo Starr (1940) in Liverpool, England. In 1964, 'Beatlemania' spread around the world, establishing the group at the forefront of popular music. They went on to become the most successful pop group of all time and finally split in 1970. Magazines continued to cater for an ever-widening range of topics. Greater quantities of information were required as the part played by technology increased in peoples' work and home lives.
