Object:Princess' dial telephone, c.1950s

Telephone manufactured by the Northern Electric Company, Model 701B, also known as 'Comtessa'. This set had an illuminated dial which lit up when the handset was lifted or could remain illuminated to serve as a night light. The set was available in five colours: white, beige, pink, blue and turquoise.
